About the Creator

Saj Johnson, Esq.

Saj Johnson is a seasoned leader, strategist, and advocate with more than 25 years of experience as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Throughout her career, she has helped organizations transform complexity into clarity—improving systems, strengthening leadership, and delivering measurable results. Her professional foundation is rooted in discipline, analysis, and operational excellence, but her life's work has always been driven by something deeper: a passion for helping others.

A proud mother of three, Saj embodies resilience and lifelong learning. At the age of 46, she made the bold decision to begin law school—proving that reinvention has no expiration date. In 2025, she passed the California Bar Exam on her first attempt, marking the next chapter in a career defined by courage, discipline, and purpose.

While in law school in 2022, Saj developed the concept of Elements of Proof after recognizing a troubling reality within the criminal justice system: 95% to 98% of criminal cases are resolved through plea bargaining. This process, though efficient, often disproportionately disadvantages low-income individuals and marginalized communities—many of whom feel pressured to accept outcomes without fully understanding the strength or weakness of the evidence against them.

Elements of Proof was born from Saj's belief that justice should be transparent, accessible, and equitable. Drawing from her decades of systems-thinking and data-driven problem solving, she began developing a framework designed to clarify legal standards, demystify evidentiary burdens, and empower individuals with knowledge. Her approach bridges analytical rigor with human advocacy—ensuring that people are not just processed through systems, but understood and supported within them.

Saj holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts, a Master of Science in Management, and a Juris Doctorate from Purdue Global Law School—a combination that reflects both her ability to communicate with impact and her expertise in strategic leadership and the law. Today, she integrates law, operational excellence, and advocacy to advance fairness, accountability, and meaningful reform.

At her core, Saj Johnson is a builder—of systems, of solutions, and of second chances.
